4th & 5th Grade Teachers
We are looking to hire two dedicated elementary school teachers to educate our school’s students. Our elementary teachers seek to accomplish HSCS philosophy of education through instruction and example and provide lessons that meet students’ requirements, interests, and capabilities. You will collaborate with the administration to create and implement rules and policies regulating student conduct. To ensure success you will have the ability to form interpersonal relationships with all your students and take an interest in their general well-being. Top candidates are caring, perceptive, and proficient with organizing children.
Elementary Teacher Responsibilities:
Meeting with students and parents to discuss education-related issues, and attending staff meetings.
Establishing a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that is conducive to learning.
Advancing positive interpersonal relationships with coworkers and students.
Communicating proficiently with students.
Implementing district-adopted curriculum.
Preparing for assigned classes and providing lessons at designated times.
Integrating suitable use of technology.
Administering tests following school testing protocol and providing progress reports.
Determining and supporting standards of classroom behavior, and upholding school-adopted discipline policies.
Planning and supervising assignments and activities for student teachers, teacher assistants, and volunteers as required.
Elementary Teacher Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in elementary school education.
Teaching licensure.
Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods.
Proficient knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Excellent people skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Availability to work extended hours on occasions.
Substitute Teacher
Holy Spirit Catholic School is always looking for substitute teachers for our Tiny Tot & Pre-K classes, elementary levels, and middle school. Substitute Teacher Responsibilities:
Adhere to the curriculum and lesson plans assigned by the regular teacher.
Follow procedures and achieve lesson goals.
Assign and explain homework.
Oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria.
Always comply with all school regulations and policies.
Take attendance and document daily notes.
Ensure classroom and work is kept clean and orderly.
Oversee the normal classroom rhythms and activities.
Compile a report for the teacher for when he/she returns.
Substitute Teacher Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Bachelor’s degree in teaching is preferred.
Certificate in teaching or substitute teaching preferred.
Must be detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Extended Care Teacher
